Optimal Site Performance was established in 2022 to fill a gap in the waste industry for operational and process support. With a primary focus on landfill, transfer station and material recovery facility operations, we can apply the same methodologies to quarry and construction operations for similar results.

Our team
Rob McGahey
Director and Principal
Rob has over 30 years of global experience as a heavy equipment and waste industry professional. He has managed and supported landfill operations across Asia Pacific and the US. He has worked at all levels from a machine operator to a senior manager working on and managing sites. While working for CATERPILLAR Inc. in the US he focused on efficiency improvements in mining, quarry and landfill. He recently managed an accelerated landfill set up and operation of two sites to accept flood waste after the 2022 Brisbane floods.
Liz Spooner
Liz is an environmental and communications specialist with more than 30 years of global experience in sustainability and environmental management, systems development and management, community and workforce engagement, education, and training. Her experience extends across various sectors including local and state government, building design and construction, road design and construction, waste management, natural resource management and restoration, industrial manufacturing, and international development.
