Working with our newest team of future waste operators I continually tell them to challenge me and our other trainers on the information we give them. If they don’t understand what we say to ask “why”, why does it work like that?, why do we do it that way?
If they don’t understand the “Why”, it’s hard to put the knowledge into use.
I use the same example when others tell them to do a job a certain way. If they cannot tell you the “why”, do they really understand what they are doing, or just getting you to do it the way they always have… perpetuating bad habits…
